Seasonal changes in car rental prices in Poland: overview based on confirmed bookings
Based on our experience and our results, we analyzed seasonal changes in car rental prices in Poland. The analysis was carried out exclusively on the basis of confirmed bookings through our RentCarFy website. During the study, all vehicle types and all classes were taken into account, including car rentals without a deposit and without a credit card.
The lowest car rental prices are observed during the winter period. The cheapest months are January and November with an average price of 14 €, as well as February and October with a level of around 15 €. Compared to peak summer values, this is almost 50 % cheaper, making winter and late autumn the most cost effective periods for car rental.
The highest prices are recorded in summer, when demand reaches its maximum. July is the most expensive month with an average price of 30 €, which is approximately 114 % higher than in January or November. August also remains expensive with an average cost of 29 €. This clearly confirms the strong dependence of prices on the tourist season.
In spring and early autumn, prices gradually rise or decline. In April and May, the average cost is 19 € and 20 €, while in September it decreases to 18 €, which is around 40 % cheaper than the July peak.
